3/25/2020 Wacky Wednesday
Alton loves mad libs. We do them together most nights if we aren't reading a chapter book together. I thought this would be a perfect activity to do for my morning meeting. We did a review of nouns, verbs, and adjectives. I had one student come live, so she was part of the mad lib too. It was great to have one of my borrowed babies be able to participate. Alton and V went live with me to be my assistants too. We made a funny story.
It was also crazy hair day. V had funny hair before she put on her hat.
Over the river and through the woods, off to the bog we go! We all showered before we left, that may not have been the smartest idea. Our first stop was unsuccessful. We drove around and couldn't find anything, but the kids were out in nature, having fun, and getting fresh air.
Alton for some reason has found a deep love for saltines. He devoured them after he ate his lunch in the truck.
Across the road from grama's house. We finally ended up where we knew we could find leeks.
Jackpot!
The kids ended up playing in the creek while D and I did the digging and pulling. Callie fell down twice and rode home half naked. I love that the kids are getting these experiences that they wouldn't have in NC. Next year will be more fun with the kids knowing what to expect.
Red for ed. Still supporting my NC teachers.
On our way home we stopped at the Beef Haus and got beef on wecks. <3
Alton is learning to cook. His current fave is mac and cheese.
Cleaning the leeks. yummers!
