4/3/2020

Finally Friday! Today was a little bit easier. Fewer meetings to deal with and be distracted. I had a first grade meeting at 9 which ran to 10. That's when I do my fb live, so I was a few minutes late
getting on. We did silly sentences, that's one of my kids' favorite way to write sentences. I talked to my team mate for a bit and then had a STEM meeting at 10:30. Once that was done, we ran to school to get lunches. Drove by the new house on the way home and facetimed Kim when we got home. We love her and miss her so much. It was a breath of fresh air to hear her voice and see her face. She has been such a big part of our lives for so long, it's hard seeing her. I am greatly looking forward to a visit when all this blows over. Hugs will be huge and long!
We took it easy in the afternoon and did a little cleaning and played outside. The kids also made pizza from scratch. I'm glad I grabbed that kit on 3/12.

We used up some extra fruit and made fancy smoothies before Callie got up.

These colored scavenger hunts went home with my students this week. They have to look for things inside and outside in the given color. They have to make a list and then write sentences about the favorite and least favorite things that were found. I hope they all do it and share pictures. It will be cute to see it all done!

Waze home screen. Guess we aren't going anywhere...

This is apparently the reason my brain is shot.

So I was a little loopy and glad for the weekend at hand with a break from all things school. Too early? I don't think so. I'm a teacher and a mom, so it's still all on me.

Little bit is serious about kicking Corona's butt and using nerf guns whenever needed.

I found our old computer from before we moved into Peakhill. It turned on, but the only thing the kids can really do with it is play some dinosaur game when the "not connected to the internet" screen comes up. They like it.

Nick and Megan came to the rescue and are letting us borrow their old computer so we have an additional device to keep the kids doing their school work while I do mine.

Highlight of Friday-homemade pizza! We haven't done this in a long time. Thankfully at least Callie was interested in making it. Daddy bought a few bags of pepperoni so we are better prepared for the next batch!

I'm back on the low carb train. So exciting.

Friday night movie night consisted of storage wars and nailed it. Our kids are nuts.
