Today when we got our lunches we were also given 10 pounds of cottage cheese. We don't have any spaghetti noodles, but we have lasagna! I found a few recipes online and tweeked them. One batch had venison and the other has shredded carrot. There are no other appropriate fresh vegetables to add. But it turned out ok and they both were delicious! V insisted on making crescent rolls about 2 hours before dinner, so she was happy to help. The kids didn't help as much as I would have liked, but they were playing nicely, so I didn't put up a fuss. Now we have a meal in the freezer when I don't feel like cooking. I really do enjoy cooking from scratch. There just isn't enough time to make all the dishes each day. I think I may try to get the kids to help me more and do more prepping over the weekends when things get back to normal. Until then, I'm more than happy to teach our babies home ec.

This was my morning meeting. My kids do these every day when we are in school. It's sad that this is one skill I am able to do with my class once a week. I miss my kids and the silly ways I show them how to remember parts of a sentence.

Look how hard they are working. Don't let those innocent faces fool you!

This is one of the science projects they worked on-capillary action!

V wrote a note for her future husband. She loves Wade and both sides are ok with an arranged marriage. He is one of the smallest kids in the class and she's the tallest. Makes their match up even better!

I'm so confused. These kids have been doing amazing at hitting the ball. Alton has been really hitting them out farther and with more consistency. Callie can actually hit the ball when I pitch to her. V has had the shortest amount of time hitting. I know she will do great when she has some practice. It's sad they can't play little league. They should all well be in their practices by now.
Only time will tell.
